At the very beginning of my racing adventure I purchased a brand new Tui BH-3 VW Super Vee at the end of 1973 to race in SCCA club races and the IMSA pro series the following year. Unfortunately, I had financed the car, had no money to run it, damaged the motor after five laps in the first test day then I damaged the double-adjustable Koni rear shocks while taking the engine out. I then rented the car to the dealer who sold it to me and he soon crashed the car on the first out-lap of practice at the Road Atlanta IMSA VW Super Vee Pro Race. The car was a near write-off... Good Times!
