Bereft at the loss of my '95 Corvette, I happened to spot a 2002 Miata in a dazzling shade of blue exactly like the picture. The dealer said it was called Laser Blue Mica, one of two colors limited to online only orders. The intended buyer hadn't completed the purchase, so I did. 😊 I later found out mine was one of two in Texas in the color. Clichés about the handling and shifting and fun inherent in a Miata are so true. I've never had more fun with any car than zoom-zooming around in Ol' Blue during our five joyous years. Then a new job necessitated an automatic transmission, so...😢

Read moreI want a Miata so bad. I’m always looking at them. I’ve put the bug in my wife’s ear...once the house is paid off. I may add a couple cars to the inventory. We have 6 right now, may have to upgrade the 300k mile civic and 250k mile explorer with some thing more enjoyable.
I really wish I still had that Miata. I'm just tall enough that it was uncomfortable for long distances but as a car for running around locally, it was exceptionally fun. I could get a week's groceries in the trunk, too!
They’re widely regarded as one of the best handling, and most enjoyable cars. I got to get one at some point.
