This car was bought as a non-runner just after failing its MOT and I only paid £500 for it, it was an automatic and the auto box was giving me some problems so I swapped it for a manual box, after that it was time to get it back on the road, all that was required for the MOT was an overhaul of the brakes including the master cylinder and an exhaust manifold gasket. Two weeks after buying the car it was back on the road and ready to use.
