It was literally love at first sight. I saw my Alfa Romeo for the first time at the 1986 Auto Show at Puerto Rico’s Roberto Clemente Colosseum. I was so in love with the Alfa that I purchased the car at the show even though I was told I could not take possession of it, not only after the auto show, but until after another week of exhibition somewhere else. I can’t remember how many times I visited both exhibitions just to be near my Alfa and make sure nobody touched it. I had the car until 1990. I still miss it.
