This is my slightly rusty jap import 1994 mx5. I bought this during the summer from a stunt school cheap needing some work. It has the usual mx5 rusty sills but they’re not actually too bad on this. I did a track day in it and it started leaking oil quite heavily from the front crank oil seal. I pulled the engine out and changed all the seals, water housings and put an oem oil pump on for good measure. While the engine was out I fitted a 6 speed from a mk2 and I also fitted a Mk2 torsen diff with a Kia Sportage 4.625 FD. The plan is to sort the sills and do a few suspension upgrades next.
