With my ex and my poor GTO behind me, I needed wheels. A dear friend was selling her 2001 Jetta identical to the pictured example. She had a new baby and wanted an SUV. *eyeroll* I snapped Blanca up and took her home. Her boat-anchor 2.0 liter and 5-speed manual made for tepid acceleration but she served me well in her own way. Although she dodged many ailments common to MK IV Jettas, Blanca had her share of mechanical maladies. Still, she won me over and we traveled together for three years until I hastened her doom by stupidly driving her into the rear of an Expedition. *facepalm*
