Alright, well this is still jumbled a bit and I don't have time to make it clearer. So I am just going to throw it out as it is. This is another interesting read, Ost. I thought the foam idea was very neat when I saw it in that movie. There are many other movies where the utopian world gets a big kick in the ... only to find out what they had sacrificed. I agree with many points brought up here and can only add that the Peter Principle does not cast a big enough net. If you look out beyond leaders and viewing society in parts they work better. Once you view society as a whole the views start to make no sense. We have tried to create a better world and brought industrialization and pollution. Now we bring technology. With this hypothesis, we will have our self-driving electric cars — cars that cost us more in energy from power plants or to remove (batteries) once becoming waste. The technical advancing will become the predictor of our fates. Technology gave us pollution and we just keep upgrading the type.
My point was lost in my bad wording, We always seem to cause other damage as we progress and then try and market it as good. Sometimes though, you have to knowingly break things causing damage. I am for progress, but to delude ourselves into...
