That black material thing is a Bra LOL. You are correct, they are stupid. Not only do they look stupid; but while protecting the paint from chips they hold moisture in contact with the paint and completely destroy the hood. I worked at a body shop in the early 90's and saw where many people wrecked their cars. 😂 it made the shop alot of money though.

Yeah for show it works. I live in Vancouver and I see people driving around in the rain with stance and blown out tires to a ricer degree. It's very frustrating. They also drive like it's dry with perfect grip. -_-

I was wondering what sort of effect it has on the paint if kept on all the time but I was a little too lazy/tired to look it up, thanks for the info !
You can have clear film applied to the front of your car to help prevent stone chips and make bug cleaning easier.
