Cool!! At my college we just had a load of knackered Ford Pinto engines (must’ve been at the college for at least 15 years, and had been abused for that entire time by people who didn’t really know what they were doing)
I will say Pinto engines are excellent. They were a fantastic 4 cylinder that Ford kept using in Europe until at least the 1990s. The only problem is it gained its nickname from the Ford Pinto

That's such a cool project. Good luck!
Thanks! I do appreciate it. Probably gonna need it for this one 😂
Will never be usable with honing. It would have to be bored. Or sleeved.
That bore looks pretty rough. Hone the crap out of that thing! +0.60 rings and fire it up!!!

Oh goodness lol 😂 pinto engines out of any engine possible. And then abused by stupid people forever. Not a good mix!

That’s awesome! I’m tearing down and rebuilding my first engine in 2 weeks. A 3.5L Twin Turbocharged V6 Ecoboost.
That’s a good one to do that with. A modern motor is a good way to start.
Exactly!
