  • 🤦🏻‍♂️ just stop with the robbery rubbish….. Mercedes Naively missed two opportunities to pit there man for fresher tires any one of those opportunities would of been enough to hold max off for a lap.

It was about the tires if you ask me because Mercedes car was very strong in performance it just had well used rubber to the track compared to most of the other grid.

This head line nonsense it’s more of a stir up from TOTO, I thought Lewis had made peace with the race ? He has asked Mercedes to stop the courts appeal. If anything Toto is still struggling to accept the fact they made the wrong call…. Because they were naive in thinking the race would end under safety car.

    • I'll refer you to a post I wrote after the Abu Dhabi GP where I explicitly argue that the result was due to Red Bull's teamwork and the strategy. So I'm pretty sure you may not understand my view on this.

This post on Toto Wolff's comments is...

  • This was the race when F1 showed its true intent: to be pure entertainment and no longer masquerade as sport. Let’s have a grandstand finish that will set next season nicely. It’s good for the viewing figures and it’s a great story for the world’s media. What a way to move on from Merc dominance, to appeal to a younger “Maxpower go faster stripe” fan base.

Only thing is they need Merc to carry on next season and that means Lewis. And so far it’s looking 50/50 that he turns up for race one in March. With the whole of the grey suited masses fully against Merc winning again there’s little point. And really, what have Merc got to prove? If it were a straight forward fight against StrapOn it might be worth it but when you’ve got a RB and F1 and FIA and Liberty Media all on the same side there’s little point. I bet they were really gutted Merc got the Constructors and they could do nothing about it. Lol.

If I were Toto I’d be grabbing back my entry fee. And investing it in a fresh series away from tarnished old F1. Or just turning up race after race and doing a single lap on Sunday before retiring both cars. Depriving F1 of its entertainment factor. So, fingers crossed Lewis and Toto decide to walk away, it would be the best thing for F1 Entertainments Inc.

    • If they do that, no one gonna miss them. Others will come and take their place, and in 2 years nobody will remember LH or Merc… this is how the world works nowadays…

    • I doubt they will be forgotten. My main point on that being: everyone remembers Schumacher and most people who are somewhat familiar with the sport will know of a once legendary team. A team and driver so dominant won't be forgotten.

  • I feel for LH, can't be easy for him. what an amazing race car driver, but the dominated MB combo was getting a bit tiresome. Yes the restart was not handled fairly, but if one plays the moment the SC car came out, both MB and LH knew the race was over for them if it went green again, as the 2nd place car holds all the cards... played so many scenarios, and the only way a win for LH was possible was if no unlapped cars, which usually doesn't happen, or finished under SC. Yes the race director played a few tricks, edge of the seat stuff. Too bad there is only one winner. Max did "full send always" the entire season with just 3 Honda engines

  • I’ll help you out Lewis, you lost the race. I’m sure somebody you know recorded it, ask them if you can watch it. Watch the end, that’s the point when you LOST THE RACE

  • Oh dear, what a shame, never mind. Baby has thrown his toys out of the pram.
