  • I think it works on a case by case basis! Of course converting a Ferrari Daytona to an EV is a crime. But an electric Citroen DS as a daily? Yes please.

    • I'll be curious to drive the hypothetical e-DS Citroen. Like the Mini, an electric Renault 4 or 5 could be a great alternative in the EVs market.

  • I'd rather set fire to a jag than put an electric motor in it. I do know a feller who put a milk float set up in a Hillman imp in the late 80s though. Incidentally, his Dad ran off with his wife. This may or may not prove something.

  • All of arguments reflects a hard reality. I don't believe the best way to preserve our old cars means to modify them giving them an electric engine. Anyway, the ICE powertrain could be preserved thanks to the classic cars enthusiasts at motor events. The EVs are equipped with modern and complex technologies giving them an efficient power instead of the old cars powertrain.
