From my experience at Jaguar, I did hear about some potential issues with the steering, though I couldn’t be entirely sure. Maybe best to get it checked out.
Those have hydraulic boost, right? Any visible line leaks? That would be the first thing I would look for. Well, the reservoir level and then for a leak.
I don’t know about the power steering steering issue, however the grinding noises could be if salt or little gravel (the ones that they spray on snowy roads) has entered the “joints” (sorry forgot the actual word) at the wheels…had this issue last winter on my Volvo…

I've owned various Jags over the past 25 years, so always expecting something. Having said that the F Type has been faultless so far.

There doesn’t seem to be any leaks probably going to have to wait till Boxing Day and have it recovered to the dealership
