Sorry it's so long, but trying to be objective ....
When car shopping recently we narrowed the list to the C8, the Shelby, BMW M8, Porsche Turbo S, Range Rover SVR. The Lambos and Ferraris and their type were just more money than I wanted to spend. Not enough value for the extra money. We eliminated in this order:
• SVR is a great Sport UTV, just not stylish enough
• C8 too hard to get in and out of and a very disappointing plastic interior. It rattled during the test drive.
• Shelby 500 I really wanted this one to be good. It really explodes off the line and has a righteous exhaust note. The torque curve stayed stronger longer than almost any of the others. But it also had a disappointing interior with a lot of plastic and was almost as uncomfortable as the Vette.
• the Porsche Turbo S is a wonderful car. Sleek, fast with perfect handling. But that car is TINY !!!!
• we bought this BMW M8. It has muscle car & sports car looks at the same time, an imaginatively beautiful interior finely leather-clad and the engineering prowess was obvious even on the little controls for the air vents! Most comfortable seat of all of them and the nicest Quality Paint Job. And it is stupid ridiculous fast! In M2 mode makes a sound an angel (or demon) could not duplicate. It was timed at 0-60=3.0sec, 0-100=5.0sec., 0-135=11 sec.s.

I'm a ///M guy (I daily an E92 M3), so I respect the ///M8!
Have almost 3,000 miles already (3 mo.s) and now think this is probably the best car you can buy in North America for less than $200,000.
Wow. I’m a sports car guy, so C8 for me all day, but if I wanted to spend a mint on a muscle car, you know it’d be the Ford.

I want them both but I’d take the C8. Im hoping the Z06 will bring at least 750HP and the ZR1 at least 1000 HP.
that would be awesome if they can push 1000
