Strange that Vauxall have never made a really desirable mainstream car. The astra gte in its day was always in the shadows of fast fords. I think alot is to do with journalists reviews at the time of production. If they are not truly great performers then they never seem to become highly collectable?
I am surprised the Lotus Carlton hasn't risen faster in value.
@Jamie- Regrettably no longer have those other cars in my garage. I do have a TVR Tuscan with just 17k miles and in fantastic condition. Not really an investment more of a slow burner but was my dream car, more an indulgence! I tend to sell when I think a car's completed its fast growth. Don't always get it right as the v6 carried on its fast growth, values of ph1's nearly trebled in three years! I will be considering a megane r26r in a couple of years or maybe mk2 rs focus. its watching the market that I enjoy. Of course its a guessing game in the end.

Astra Gte. Digital Dash model, maybe.
Also, Astra 888 coupe - that fits the criteria, just about that you mentioned earlier.
Lotus Carlton, but that's already a £50k, can't see you making much money off the back of one.
Apart from that, I'm out of ideas.
Did consider a racing puma but hard to find a low miler and in the end just doesn't quite excite me enough.
Can anyone name a Vauxhall (VX220 excluded) that is a good investment? No I can't either!
Yeah, completely. It's a potential utter gamble, some you'll win, some you'll lose.
Focus RS, whilst the prices have never dropped really below that £20k, they haven't ever particularly increased either, the Mk1 on the other hand...
Ford Racing Puma would be where my money would go, if I was looking for a blue oval investment.
