I love the R129 Mercedes SL. They’re fantastic cars but, despite the ~$30-40K price tag, I could never see myself buying one. Sloppy handling and would be hard to find a low mileage one!
Ha ha! I was just like you when I was young. In my life I've owned literally hundreds of cars. I usually lose money on them, but at least I have a small encyclopaedia of knowledge across the board. Something I've found out is that the 'best' cars are a disappointment in some way or another. Your imagination raises them to unjustified heights. It's the crappy cars that most often surprise and delight with unexpected qualities, like Oliver does for Richard. Might I urge you to look forwards to cars you might actually become the owner of one day? What about a Lucid Air? A Taycan? A Model S Plaid? They'll all get cheaper on the used market, once newer stuff becomes more commonplace and scarcity becomes less so.
A Volvo S90 is a good car already on the used market, it's a big luxury sedan that I found a 2018 model for only around $32,000 (USD). A great daily driver and you can reliably assume that it'll run for 250k+ miles

1st Gen Acura NSX. Every time I think I can afford one, the price increases. Same goes for a lot of cars on my bucket list.
Good call out
Good point

I'd rock the Hoonigan Suzuki Carry! Have stock in Tire Rack with them on speed dial. License plate: IH8TYRS
haha love it

Pontiac G8/newer GTO is on my list too. Thought it was a heck of a car when it debuted. I ended up going with an A8 instead.
I like the G8 GXP to be more exact.
Who wouldn’t like a 6.2 L V8!
