  • There's something weirdly appealing in cars with colorless bumpers.

  • I need to find some Yugos, restore them and ship them to US. Anything goes there.

  • Sub 10K all day. Any thing more, I think you're off your rocker. It's not rare, it's not special, and for that cost, you can't even afford to put 100 miles on it, with out crushing any of your speculation value.

  • My grandpa just bought a Mitsubishi Mirage for only 1 grand more than this thing, and it won't need an immediate rebuild, unlike this thing. CP for sure

  • It's junk. Originally not a bad car. I was in one that got 53mpg over 8hours and two days of city driving. Not bad. Oh, and that was 1993.

It's junk because it sat. All rubber, gaskets, lines and hoses are trash and will need to be replaced. Might look fine but it's not. Any plastic will be deteriorating rapidly in sunlight due to the hardeners they were using at the time - UV deterioration(my Dad was an engineer in plastics hence the knowledge). This car will require a complete rebuild in a very short time frame. Items will begin to fail and it will cascade if not handled. This goes back to the part about cars were meant to be driven. They deteriorate over time. Very few classics have NOT been fully restored. Those that sat will need a complete rebuild before they are truly road worthy. Just is.

18 grand then double that price for the rebuild. May get somewhat lucky but don't be counting chickens too soon!

    • Sorry for the picky question: hardeners or plasticizers (or both)? I’m familiar with brittleness from plasticizer loss (primarily in architectural products, but the concept has broad application)

    • Good question. I sent him a text to clarify. I'll get back to you with an answer.
