  • I certainly see the value in the Wavetrac or any other LSD in this platform. I am running what I think is the perfect dialed in setup for the street without going the LSD route (2016 non-PP GTI) with sticky tires, lightwieght wheels, Bilstein PSS10, and a slew of of upgraded mounts and braces to keep the front end in check and the rear end rotating quickly when prompted.

I have enjoyed your write-ups! keep em coming!

  • Hi, I run a clubsport S, and have being driving fast cars all my life, a lot with diffs, m3 e30, evo's. subaru GT & WRX, porshes and I drive hard and I just love my little gti, I took it on mountain passes in France and Switzerland and I found that the VAG is great but for me, slow to react..its mili-seconds but I can see the difference when driving hard especially on wet or bumpy roads, the VAG is less consistent and my first mod was the wavetrac and I love it. Even more so with 400hp on cup tires, its less of an issue on winter tyres and 310hp stock. I do thing the PP is a must to get with a Gti and is good for 90% of people out there, but if you want fast, reactive diff with potential to put 100% power down go with the wavetrac.
