I'm a firm believer in naturally aspirated engines. I don't know why but forced induction just isn't for me. Maybe it's the noise, maybe it's the power delivery. Who knows. So here's a list of the most powerful N/A engines you can buy today.
1. Ferrari 812 Superfast - 800 horsepower
Why not the LaFerrari? Well, the 812 produces a massive 800 horsepower from its 6.5 litre V12 engine, 11 more than the LaFerrari, not including the help from an electric motor.
2. Ferrari F12tdf - 770 horsepower
Once again we have a Ferrari; they really know how to do it. The most powerful variant of the F12 features a 6.5 litre V12 producing 770 horsepower, 40 more than the standard F12.
3. Pagani Zonda RS - 750 horsepower
By far, in my opinion, the best sounding car on this list... possibly the best sounding road car ever made. Featuring a 7.3 litre V12 engine by AMG that produces a heavenly sound track, the RS makes it third on our list.
4. Aston Martin One-77 - 750 horsepower
Us Brits make an entry here in fourth place with the rare One-77. With only 77 been made - funny that, huh? - it's certainly rare. Unfortunately so rare that you might not get to hear the 7.3 litre V12 engine that houses all of the 750 horsepower.
5. Lamborghini Aventador SV - 740 horsepower
Fifth place goes to the Lamborghini Aventador. In SV guise it boats an impressive 740 horsepower from another 6.5 litre V12 with a 50 horsepower increase over the standard model.
6. Ferrari GTC4Lusso - 680 horsepower
Here comes another Ferrari, this time with the new GTC4Lusso; the replacement for the FF. Where as the FF produced 650 horsepower, this new model increases that to 680 despite having the same 6.3 litre V12.
7. Ferrari 599 GTO - 661 horsepower
The 599 GTB, predecessor to the F12, produced around 611 horsepower in its standard form. But then they released the GTO, one of the most sought after modern Ferraris which put out 661 horsepower; 50 over the GTB.
8. Lamborghini Murcielago SV - 661 horsepower
Before the Aventador came along the Murcielago was the flagship model. It was loud, outrageous and was inappropriate in every way which made it the perfect supercar. When they released the SV variant it came with 661 horsepower from the same 6.5 litre V12 found in the standard car.
9. Ferrari Enzo - 651 horsepower
This list may as well be just Ferraris. The Enzo was the highlight of the 2000s and still gives many cars these days a run for their money. Packed with F1 technology, it moved the car game on massively and demands massive premiums to this day.
10. Ferrari FF - 651 horsepower
Another four seat Ferrari coming in the form of an FF. Not quite as powerful as the GTC4Lusso but still an impressive beast. With 651 horsepower from the 6.3 litre V12 it certainly packed a punch.
