1,000-HP Shelby GT500 has done the Quarter-Mile in under 10 seconds
The 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 has a 5.2-liter V8 that is capable of producing 760 horsepower and 625 lb-ft of torque. This engine makes it bold and brash but not record breaking.
And so Tuning shop Evolution Performance have fiddled with the GT 500 and given it an upgraded pulley, larger fuel injectors and a bigger fuel pump, an X-pipe, and 20-inch drag radials. All that modifications mean that the GT500 now produces 1000bhp and is a record breaker.
Boys and Girls, Ladies and Gentlemen, the 1,000+ hp GT500 has done the quarter-mile 9.93-seconds at 140 mph. These stats make this GT500 the first car to the quarter mile in under 10 seconds, but there is a twist.
Firstly, many people claim that this GT500 can do the quarter-mile in lesser time and secondly, as we talk here Hennessey Performance is working its magic to increase the Shelby GT500's output to 1,200 horsepower. This quarter-mile record won't stay for long.
