1/18 Chevy Camaro Fifty
The Camaro Fifty was a celebration of the Camaro's fiftieth birthday in 2017. Maisto have decided that it needs a 1/18 version - a very good decision.
The Camaro Fifty differs from the standard model by having mat black and orange accents and the word 'FIFTY' written on it several times.
There's a mat black stripe across the hood and the trunk. The area around the Chevy badge on the back is the only part of the black stripe that isn't surrounded by two smaller orange ones.
But of course there's an even more important part on a muscle car than having orange or indeed any other bright color on it and that's the V8 motor. It's pretty well made on the Camaro.
The Camaro's heart is marked with red letters!
The interior on the other hand isn't the most important part on a muscle car. But I definitely think that it's pretty nice looking on the Camaro nevertheless. It looks sporty and plain, exactly how it should.
In the black interior the tiny silver and red parts look very good.
The only thing less important on a muscle car than the interior is the size of the trunk. It's bigger than on a Lamborghini Aventador or Bugatti Chiron, but not by much. And with the extremely small trunk opening you can't get anything inside it anyway.
If you judge it by its trunk size the Camaro's a really sporty car, but it still is if you judge it by its other components.
So the model can do what it should and can't do what it doesn't need to. What more could anyone want?
One of the 'FIFTY' letterings
The black and orange stripes give the Fifty an extra 150 hp which makes it the ultimate version of the Camaro.
Only black wheels could make it look even more powerful.
The diecast has the price of a standard Maisto model, whatever that is in your country. Here in Germany I've paid something between 40 and 50€ for it which makes it a very cheap way to own a special edition Camaro.
