Video footage taken from a police car shows them chasing an Audi RS4 reaching speeds of way over 150 miles per hour.
The RS4, driven by Billy Bond who didn't have a licence or insurance at the time, led police on a pursuit which saw him losing the police car which could only manage 146 miles per hour while the Audi was still pulling away out of sight. They only caught up after Billy had crashed through a fence and was quickly arrested and later jailed.

How much safer would all the other drivers have been if the police broke off pursuit when he exceeded 100 MPH. Who is being protected and served here? No one.
I agree completely
easy to say that from the sidelines. What if it was your stolen car? Wouldn't you want Police to catch them?
i need to mount rear light switch on/off :) ;-)
Siren? I don't care what time it is, at those speeds make some noise, or break off the pursuit.
Don't forget that the RS4 is 4 wheel drive, so the only police vehicle that the UK police have available that could maybe catch that is either an Impreza or an Evo, so it depends on the area as those vehicles are not available to the police force all over the UK. So a Quattro vs a rear wheel drive car, makes a huge difference in handling in the corners..
And the fact that a police driver has public safety to consider first and foremost. The other guy is only concerned about himself.
If the public safety was considered he should stop the chase a long time ago.
That audi has a big pair. Jeeeeez !! That must have been exciting !! :)
