165K. It was frankly a bad move because the engine had a cracked head. This was due to overheating. Even my mechanic, a BMW specialist missed it. Overheating is the real achilles heel of these cars. Stay on top of it!! In any case it is a very nice car now, though I could never get my money out of it. It's ok, I plan to keep it.
Interesting. I will say this though, you are truly a direct beneficiary of those tests. If you had purchased the same car in the US like I did, you would have had to do all the things I just got done doing. As it is, practically every critical service was probably done before the car ever got to you. You are a lucky man.

How much was the mileage when u bought it? Mine had done 130k km when I bought.

Ya.. cd be. I don't know how stringent are the MOT tests. But I think you can't get anymore stringent than the german TÜV tests😄
Gotcha, so is that a bit like the British MOT?
