1925 Rugby Tourer
Photographed at the 2018 Bay to Birdwood Rally, West Beach, South Australia.
Rugby Cars were rebadged Durant Stars, assembled in New York City, U.S.
The rebadging was necessary so that Durant had a model they could export, as the Star name was copyrighted by the Star Motor Company in the U.K.
Thus, Rugby's were available Right Hand Drive, whereas the Durant Star wasn't.
The Rugby was built from 1923 until 1928, using components sourced from external suppliers - for example, power was provided by (until 1926) by a 4 or 6 cylinder OHV Continental engine.
