DKW's are a bit rare in Australia! Mercedes Benz Australia brought some in, but I can't say I've ever seen one on the roads.

Also called the 3=6, and also as the Sonderklasse, this little F93 Coupe has an 896cc 2-stroke 3-cylinder engine in a front engined, FWD layout.

They reputedly had great handling and performance similar to a 6-cylinder 4-stroke engine.

Competing head to head with the VW Beetle, the F93 offered significantly more interior space but never sold as well, nor was it exported as widely as the VW.

      • As far as I know, they didn't have the performance of a 6-cylinder engine, but ran as smooth as one. That's why they were called 3=6. At least that's the reason, which is well known in Germany.
