1960 Beardmore Mark VII

1y ago

On a camping trip to Shenandoah Valley in September, 2018, I visited Shenandoah Caverns. At the caverns was one building filled with floats and memorabilia from Tournament of Roses parades and inaugural parades of U.S. Presidents. But inside another building, known as the Yellow Barn at Shenandoah Caverns, were many historical vehicles, carriages, farm equipment and much more. Among the vehicles was this 1960 London taxi.

The Mark VII was built between 1954 and 1967. During those years only about 650 were built. It is constructed of aluminum and fiberglass. The running gear is from a Ford Consul.
