1968 Ford Mercury Cougar XR-7

    The Cougar was available in two models (Base and XR-7) but only one body style.

    A little unusual for the period, there was no center pillar.

    Based at various times on the Ford Mustang and the Mercury Montego/Ford Torino the Cougar itself becoming the base for the Ford Thunderbird in 1977.

    Engines options ranged from a 289 V8 though 302, 351. 30. 427 and a 428.
