Photographed in August 2018 at Gosford Classic Cars, NSW, Australia

The Cougar was available in two models (Base and XR-7) but only one body style.

A little unusual for the period, there was no center pillar.

Based at various times on the Ford Mustang and the Mercury Montego/Ford Torino the Cougar itself becoming the base for the Ford Thunderbird in 1977.

    Engines options ranged from a 289 V8 though 302, 351. 30. 427 and a 428.

    • I've said it before, but I'd rather have one of these than a Mustang! Great looking cars.
