Cadillac de Villes were produced from 1959 until 2005, spanning eight design generations.

The 1971 Coupe de Ville shown here is a fourth generation car, and these were buitl from 1971 to 1976.

The standard powerplant was a 472ci V8, producing 375hp.

In November 1971 a showroom-stock Coupe de Ville placed third in the annual coast-to-coast Cannonball Run with an average speed of 84.6 mph, consuming fuel at a rate of 26 l/100mk (8.9 mpg) !!

  • Nice. Cadillac were still producing the luxury cars people wanted back then. The move to imports was slowly beginning to spread from the coasts inland but in 1971 the Cadillac was still king.

  • My parents had a refrigerator this exact color of green! Great looking Cady. Probably has the 500 CI engine, too.
