1975 Chevrolet Caprice
Photographed in August 2018 at Gosford Classic Cars, NSW, Australia
In 1975 the Arab Oil Embargo was in full swing, and Chevrolet standardised on their smaller 350ci V8 as standard equipment for all Caprice models (except that Station Wagon).
Except California - who received a 4-barrel Carb. (Chevrolet made things difficult for themselves, didn't they?)
With the standard 2-barrel carburettor, the 350 made only 145hp (109kW). With the 4-barrel, 155hp (116kW).
You could option a 400ci, or a 454ci (except in California).
GM's "High Energy" ignition system and Radial tyres were standard.
