This Land Rover was one of a group selected by the Australian Army to be converted into a specialist ceremonial vehicle, undertaking wreath carrying and funeral carriage duties.

Land Rovers were the first mass-produced civilian four-wheel-drive car with doors!

Land Rover claim that over 70% of all Land Rovers built are still serviceable and in use! Considering that production started in 1948 (and continued to 1985) this is quite a claim!

The 1,000,000th Land Rover rolled off the production line in 1976.
