Produced from September 1982 – April 1993 the w201 had a couple varients one of which being the 190D. The 190D was available in 3 engine types with this particular model housing the 2.0l OM601 that stayed in production from 1983-2001. With nearly 2 million models produced the W201 didn't sell nearly as well as it's rival, the BMW E30 but it did give it a run for its money with the sporty model, The 2.3-16 which was a 5 speed high performance petrol powered 190E.
