Bonus Champion! Ferrari 412

Ferrari

Ferrari

At the time this article was originally written, I was confused on whether to put the Mondial or the 412. I initially decided to go only with the Mondial as it competes more closely in value and quality to some of the cars here. However, the 412 is much closer in size and comfort to the likes of 560 SEC, Thunderbird, Grand National, etc. It has a 335bhp V12.

American specifications:

5-speed manual

Curb Weight: 4372 lb | Engine: 4.9L V-12 | Power: 335 bhp | Torque: 333 lb-ft | Trans.: 5-speed man.

Test Page -> Top Speed: 155 mph | 1/4-Mile: 14.3 @ 99* | 0-60 MPH: 6.7 sec**

*With one-foot rollout, hard launch | **Standing time, soft launch

3-speed automatic

Curb Weight: 4383 lb | Engine: 4.9L V-12 | Power: 335 bhp | Torque: 333 lb-ft | Trans.: 3-speed auto.

Test Page -> Top Speed: 152 mph | 1/4-Mile: 15.1 @ 97* | 0-60 MPH: 8.5 sec**

*With one-foot rollout, hard launch | **Standing time, soft launch

  • Welp since I did own a 1987 Ford Thunderbird TurboCoupe, the choice was simple. Plus the car had a 25 gallon gas tank and got 35 mpg with cruise set at 75 mph. Lots of range.

  • What I wouldn't give to even SEE a Grand National in person 🤤

  • I'll have the 560SEC, although it isn't in the poll's list of choices.
