1990 Pontiac ASC-Mclaren Turbo Grand Prix Turbo Review
For this review, I'm gonna to review the car for styling, interior design, Performance and handling, and all of the little qwerks and features it has
Styling
when these cars came out in 89, the ASC-McLaren package gave you a special widebody kit for these car which is very stunning and it comes with functional hood louvers and functional air vents for better air flow and cooling. with it's boxy and curve looks, this 90's car is a definition of what the good old 90's had to offer.
Interior design
The interior, you got that good old plastic use but isn't that bad for this car. The buttons and switches are confusing especially for the steering wheel, it's like your trying to operate a plane and you have all of these switches and buttons that does a certain thing but for the tech it has, I can easily compare it to a modern car, It comes with a navigational system, car scanner so if you have a issue, it'll scan the computers to detect that issue or if you need service, it'll tell you, if you want to control the radio, change the station, or change from FM to AM, all of the buttons are on the steering wheel and it has heads up display so if you don't want to look down, it'll project the speed, turning signal, and any warning lights. But overall of it's styling and age, I have to say it looks like a modern car. the seats are like bucket seats but more fancier, for the fronts, you can adjust any position of the seat so you'll get that perfect comfort for the track and a nice cruise.
Performance and Handling
The performance and handling, it's pretty good for the year of the car. The car comes with a 3.1-liter V6 that come with a standard 140hp but with the ASC-McLaren package, it'll bring it up to 205hp which is pretty good for the 90's and the top speed is only 128 miles and 0-60 is 7 seconds. The handling of the car it pretty good, the car comes with a stiffen suspensions and some meaty set of ABS wheels stock and this car love to take turns and speeds.
Querks and Features
Time to do the qwerks an features of the car and I already mentioned some of them so let's finish this off, In order to open the trunk of a 1990 Pontiac ASC-McLaren Turbo Grand Prix, you'll have to unlock your glovebox and in the glove box is a yellow button and when you click it, the trunk will open. the last and final thing is when you turn on the radio, this car comes with a retractable antenna so when the radio is on, the antenna goes up and when you turn the radio off, it goes down.
Conclusion
overall, this car is one of the perfect example of a good 90's sports car that was under it's own league back in the day.
