The 90s were the golden age of high-performance sedans and in 1994 came three of the most representative models in the category.
AUDI 80 B4 COMPETITION QUATTRO
In 1994 the Audi had to approve its version of the Audi 80 specifically designed to compete in the Super Tourenwagen Cup championship and to obtain it had to build 2500 copies in road version.
Called Competition quattro, the car stood out aesthetically from the normal 80 for the bumper derived from the S2, the lights derived from the 2.8 E and for a rear spoiler mounted on the rear hood.
As a power unit, a 2.0 16V quadricylndric was mounted, managed by a five-speed manual gearbox and combined with four-wheel drive.
Able to develop the power of 140 hp with a torque of 185 Nm, the engine allowed the Competition quattro to reach a top speed of 206 km / h with acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 9.8 seconds.

AUTECH PRIMERA P10
In 1994, Nissan applied to Autech to build a high-performance variant of its Primera P10 which was built in twenty specimens.
Recognizable by the new body kit and sports alloy wheels, the car was equipped with a four-cylinder SR20DE engine managed by a five-speed manual gearbox and combined with front-wheel drive.
Able to generate 180 hp with 192 Nm of torque, the engine was able to push the car to a maximum speed of 232 km / h with acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 7 seconds.
ALFA ROMEO 155 FORMULA
In 1994 the Alfa Romeo wanted to homologate its 155 for the British BTCC championship and this forced it to build 2500 copies of the vehicle in road version.
Named Formula, it was aesthetically recognizable for the new spoilers and implemented a Twin Spark 1.8 8V four-cylinder engine managed by a five-speed manual gearbox and combined with front-wheel drive.
Capable of delivering 129 hp with a torque of 167 Nm, the engine guaranteed the vehicle a maximum speed of 200 km / h with acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 10.3 seconds.
Three cars, three different ways of understanding sportiness applied to the sedan category. The Autech Primera excites me, but which do you prefer?
