The Chevrolet Lumina is often overlooked and unfairly criticized, spec'd correctly (LS, 3.4L V6, 4 Speed Auto w/ OD) the 1995 Chevrolet Lumina made 210HP @ 5,200rpm and 215 lb-ft of torque at 4,000rpm, did 0-60 in 7.5 seconds and comfortably held 4 adult passengers. To give you an idea here are cars that are slower that the Lumina, 2008 Audi A3, 2013 BMW i3, 2015 Chevrolet Impala and many more modern cars in its class.

It's not ugly Either

Now a lot of folks will say "BUT, it's ugly!!" Now do me a favor, Google " 1995 Ford Taurus" that is ugly. The 90's Luminas did look like everything else in the 90s but being a mid 90s car it's not horrible.

My EXPERIENCE Owning One

In my three years of owning the car it went from 119,000 miles to 146,000 miles that's 27,000 miles or about 9,000 miles per year. In that time I had one issues being a radiator hose, it cost me about $500usd and took only a day. I got about 20-22mpg combined and nearly 30 on the highway in OD.

In short, I think the Lumina is overlooked for how great of a car it was during the 90s and how it they might even hold up to some today!
