"Motorcycle lore has it that very few original owners of the Mach III survived.”

Clement Salvadori

In 1970, you could buy a machine that would blow the doors off nearly any muscle car on the road...for less than $1000. It was the notorious Kawasaki H1 Mach III -- a 500cc, triple cylinder 2-stroke street screamer that could go like the devil. The bike quickly earned an outlaw image as a machine that did not play well in polite company.

Enter Mark Eddy of Vallantine Motor Works, who had a 1970 H1 Mach III of his brother's rotting in his backyard for years. Finally, he decided to resurrect the legendary Kawasaki Triple into a "flat track replica of sorts."

  • nice clean build! I've promoted this on the Best of USA and the D_TRB USA facebook page. There's the Handbuilt Motorcycle show here in Austin every April, do you know if Vallantine is coming?
