On the 20th of June 2018, I got a new car: a 2012 Vauxhall Corsa 1.4 SE with 35,000 miles on the clock. What has it been like to own?
FIRST IMPRESSIONS: When I drove the car home from the dealer first time, I fell immediately in love with it. Compared to my old 2006 Polo, it feels solid and well built, it's quiet and comfortable when you're on the move, and it's easy to park.
ON THE INSIDE: As long as you're not expecting an S-Class, it has all the equipment you need. The benefits of having the SE model are heated front seats, a heated leather steering wheel, cruise control, and a trip computer. Electric mirrors and front windows are standard, too.
DRIVING: The Corsa is a nice car to drive. It handles well, the 1.4-litre 98bhp engine is quick enough, and it's relaxing at motorway speeds. Be careful, and you'll achieve over 50mpg!
I recently took a 250 mile road trip from my house in Wales all the way down to my brother's school near Bristol, and the Corsa was quiet and comfortable through it all. I plan on doing it again!
MY VERDICT: Best car I've ever owned. 10/10
