So that is that. The curtain draws on another season of F1 and what an entertaining ride it has been. For what it's worth, I believe this was the best season of the hybrid era so far and it was capped off by an above-average Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
The final race of the year means the final set of ratings. I have managed to produce ratings for every single Grand Prix so you will be able to find the overall leaderboard for the year below.
So Lewis Hamilton achieved the highest rating of 163 for the season. An average of 7.7 per race. At the other end, Brendon Hartley finished one point behind Sergey Sirotkin. The Kiwi averaging just 5.4 per race.
Max Verstappen managed to recover from an awful start to the year to finish 2nd overall with 150 points. Considering he was second last after Monaco, that's an impressive turnaround of form.
The top 3 was rounded out by Charles Leclerc who enjoyed a fantastic debut season and has been rewarded with a Ferrari seat in 2019.
