One of the final shows I attend every year happens in the home town of the Jack Daniels distillery. Lynchburg, Tennessee (POP. 361) (or so the bottles used to say) actually has a little over 6,500 people, according to the latest census records. On weekends through the summer the number of tourists in town is probably twice that number. Despite the still warm weather, as autumn has yet to arrive in Tennessee, this show was a must attend for me. Excellent food, great cars and old friends are every where. Enough set-up, lets get to the cars!
Above: This sharp looking, flathead V8 powered, '32 Ford coupe is owned by local Hot Rod shop Street Rods by Micheal.
A pair of full drag race Novas.
A perfect condition Pontiac Ram Air Trans-Am. A great looking car.
Mandatory Mustang picture! A great looking Boss 302.
A fabulous '56 Ford coupe.
Above: A convertible Buick Wildcat, in blue. Hard to go wrong with this one on a sunny day! If it gets too hot, put the top up and turn on the factory AC.
People who bring their cars to shows are there to show them off. Hood up pictures are kind of annoying, but sometimes that's all you are gonna get! A great looking '55 Chevy.
Next to the '55 is a great looking '64 Nova station wagon, in white.
Another '64 Chevy Nova.
A great looking Chevy El Camino.
I had to grab a shot of this Oldsmobile, Cutlass while it was on the move!
Above: This second generation Z28 Camaro had an interesting color combination.
A '78 Pontiac Trans-Am. T-tops out and cruisin'!
A beautiful hard-top Impala.
I caught this '57 Chevy, Bel Air parked up on the hill.
These Mach 1 Mustangs have been unloved for a very long time. This yellow one shows why that attitude is not really justifiable.
Above: A Chevy truck anthology! From newest to oldest.
A great looking '56 Chevy four-door.
An '80s Chevy Monte Carlo
A Fox Body Mustang convertible and a drop top Corvette.
Something for the kids.
This year turned out to be a pretty good show! I've been to this one when it was so cold, you had to hang out in the car, pouring down rain, over 400 cars in attendance and once when 5 cars attended! Regardless of the circumstances, this show always entertains! You know, on second thought, fall can hold off for a little while longer! Lets Keep on Cruisin'!
What do you guys think of all these beautiful cars, baking in the late summer
sun? Let us know in the COMMENTS below and as always...
