2018 Ford Focus RS500 Testing on the Nurburgring

1y ago

More power? we hope no confirmation about this... but the RS500 would likely benefit from the weight saving (carbon fiber brakes, carbon fiber reinforced plastic bodywork, and forged aluminum suspension parts ) and a new front bumper that would allow Ford engineers to add cooling capacity to accommodate additional power. The fastest-accelerating hatchback in history could feature and some mechanical enhancements, including an electronic limited-slip differential for the front axle to improve handling and switching the standard six-speed manual gearbox with a dual-clutch unit.

With 19-inch alloy wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires Ford performance targets to break the 4.0 sec 0-100 km / h barrier.
