2018 Mercedes AMG GT BLACK SERIES spotted testing on the Nurburgring
Video: The new hardcore Mercedes AMG GT Black Series has been spotted during testing at the ring without any camo wrap on
Although this isn't the first time the new hardcore Mercedes AMG GT Black Series was spotted out and about, it is the first time it has been seen in public without its camouflage wrap on.
In a video from Carspotter Jeroen on Youtube we can finally get a proper look at some of the new styling aspects on the car that were previously disguised. The air intakes seem to modified from the standard GT's design. The wider and more aggressive vents give the car a more menacing front end.
There also appears to be further aerodynamic vents added to the outside edges. At the rear of the car additional vents have been added behind the rear wheels, to help improve airflow and reduce drag.
The 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo Merc sounds super impressive as it's being pushed hard around The Green Hell by the test driver behind the wheel. The car looks to be extremely well planted as the tyres squeal for mercy through the corners.
The new Black Edition is expected to be revealed later this year before its release in 2018. Keep an eye on the motor shows in Europe later this year for its official reveal.
