What I Learned About The Mustang Mach-E!
I was invited to the Ford Mustang Mach-E press conference in New York City today for a chance to discuss the all-new electric SUV made by Ford. Titled the Mustang Mach-E it has some DNA of both the beloved American pony car and the size of and SUV. It is quite spectacular in person. Ford representatives talked about range (300 miles) all the way to finding out that, unlike some manufacturers, the Mustang Mach-E has a "neutral gear" to push the car off out of traffic if the battery was to die. Set inside a studio and not so many journalists, the representatives talked about the Mach-E. The one gentleman, Darren, talked about the Mach-E like it was his child. This kind of stuff (cars, mainly batteries and EV power) is his passion and I heard and saw it when people asked questions and he had answers. He told us what the Mach-E is capable of doing. For starters, the Mustang Mach-E has 2 dual wireless phone chargers, a fully capable infotainment system that can tailor to the driver, the battery comes with an 8 year/100,000 mile warranty, multiple trim levels including a model that produces over 400 horsepower and over 800 foot pounds of instant torque.
