2020 Ford Mustang Mach-E Questions Answered

I was invited to the Ford Mustang Mach-E press conference in New York City.

I was invited today to join the people of Ford to celebrate the reveal of the all-new electric SUV now known as the Mustang Mach-E. Here, everything we want to know about the new electric vehicle made by the manufacturer is laid out and some questions answered. Everything from battery range to how driver friendly this new model is. Check it out. Each video contains footage from the event. Also, from Darren himself, he answered a few of our questions after the filming. The one question we asked was: What is the main competition of the Mustang Mach-E? To sum it up Darren pretty much said that the target competition was the rest of the 99% of the market since 1% of the owners of cars drive EVs. Another question we had was: Is there a neutral gear for the Mustang Mach-E: Darren said absolutely there is. Another question that was asked by another journalist was: What bout the future of the Mustang for the purists? Darren said that the V8s and EcoBoosts will still live on. Enjoy! Tell us what you think!

  • Thanks for the coverage, you provided 2 important bits of information. 1) It is not for anyone who actually likes driving as it's a smartphone with wheels & 2) It has apps and no range. Not for me but I can see the appeal to the kids raised using toilet safety locks so they can't drown.

    • Thanks. And the range is 300 miles. Some EVs don't get that. And understandable.

    • I fully understand that I'm one of those rare types that occasionally just gets in the car and goes, sometimes traveling up to 1200 miles in a weekend which is why 300 miles with a 2 day recharge is a useless idea to me. However as a curb hopper and...

  • With all due respect, engineers are not necessarily natural presenters. They were chosen for their role and coached to sell the audience a bill of goods. As engineers, they have likely worked on numerous other projects. It doesn’t mean those projects should be called a Mustang as well.

    • They chatted about the tech and all. And you're right. The name isn't for everyone and I'm not agreeing or disagreeing. I think it's just an interesting move.
