The compact SUV Segment was kick started by the Renault Duster in the Indian Market. Followed by the Ford Ecosport which is also sold in decent numbers every month. Then Duster and Ecosport were the only SUV s which gained massive popularity and clocks 6k units every month till July 2015. Then Hyundai answered Duster and Ecosport with the launch of the Creta which broke all the sales and popularity records and gained 8k per month effortlessly till March 2016. Because Maruti Suzuki debuted their Sub 4-metre compact SUV Vitara Brezza. That was the instant success to Maruti and sold in massive numbers by clocking above 10k sales figures every month.

Now, it's been almost 4 years after the launch of Vitara Brezza. There were no mechanical changes made to the Brezza. But in 2018, Brezza received a minor facelift as it gets some sort of cosmetic tweaks in it's Exterior. And Manufacturer had finally equipped with a 5 Speed AMT Gearbox which boats a lot of convenience to the SUV. Also it got Smart Play Studio Infotainment System in 2019.

Now, coming to the point, A few days back, Vitara Brezza 2020 BS6 Spec Model has been spotted undisguised at a Dealership. It features minor visual nips and tucks. The design changes shown in the latest spy pictures are consistent with ones observed on the camouflaged ones. The main highlight of this SUV is the new Headlamp design Pattern. This particular vehicle appears to be equipped with LED headlamps, replete with new DRLs. The Brezza facelift retains its chrome grille element while the bumper has been altered to include larger and simpler fog light enclosures in addition to a new silver chin insert.

There are no sheet metal changes at all and Hence the profile remains very similar to the old model. We don’t expect much changes on the rear fascia either. The Maruti Vitara Brezza facelift is likely to assimilate some minor changes on the inside such as new accents, additional features, fresh upholstery, and possibly, a revised instrument cluster. Maruti may update the vehicle’s touchscreen infotainment system with added functionality to counteract the Hyundai Venue, the new segment benchmark in terms of connectivity.

In terms of Mechanicals, Brezza is all set to receive a petrol BS6 Compliant Engine. Because their Flagship National Diesel Engine of India, 1.3l Multi-jet DDIS200 Cannot be upgraded to meet the stringent BS6 Emission Norms. The One and a Half Litre Naturally Aspirated Inline-4 cylinder Gasoline Mill, which powers the Ertiga and Ciaz is the Expedient Contender. This motor is already BS6 Compliant and it extricates 105 Brake Horsepower and 138 newton Metres of Torque paired to either a 5 Speed Manual or an Old School 4 speed Torque Converter Automatic Gearbox. When it is launched, it will continue to fight it out with Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport and Mahindra XUV300.
