The 2020 edition of World Car Awards (WCA) marks the 15th year of the partnership with the New York International Auto Show. The test drives for the awards started in Los Angeles in November last year. The Auto Expo 2020 in New Delhi witnessed the World Car Finals event. The Top 10 and Top Five finalists in five World Car Awards categories were announced at that time. On march 3, top three cars from 5 categories were announced. Today the top winners were announced via digital media, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The jury comprised 86 top automotive journalists from 24 countries who selected and validated the cars, while auditing firm KPMG tabulated the jurors’ ballots.
