FIA is changing the regulations for Formula 1 every year. Some would argue these changes are unnecessary and are spoiling the sport. Few months ago, FIA announced the switch to 18 inch wheels for F1 cars starting from 2021. Along with these changes, the F1 car would also be subjected to a number of modifications. Now thanks to a leaked image, we might just have got a glimpse at these modifications.

During a recent Tech Talk event in Singapore, Ross Brawn managed to give a sneak peek to the crowd. The above image shows a Ferrari F1 car but with drastic body work changes. The image titled as 'Concept 2' points towards the possibility of this being one of the many concepts which is being worked upon. The design for next generation F1 cars seems be even more streamlined. The most noticeable changes include 18 inch wheels, new design for front and rear wings and a better looking HALO. I cannot ignore the fact these cars look like hot wheels because of the bigger wheels. Could be good or could be bad for some.

What do you think of this concept car? Would you like to see future F1 cars in this shape?

  • Some how it sort of makes the halo less awkward to look at. I think they have gone down the similar styling design like formula E

  • Not sure presenting it to a crowd is considered "leaked". But whatever makes the headline right?
