Key Points:

1. Lexus has released the pricing for the 2021 IS sedan.

2. The F Sport package is now standard on the IS350.

3. They will arrive in dealerships in this month.

Updated styling will also come with the new IS sedan, but powertrain options will remain the same. This update is about as confusing as the Lexus track pad infotainment system, so be prepared. The 2.0 L turbocharged 4-cylinder and 3.5 L V6 in two different tunes are still available, however the trim levels have been rearranged.

Trim Changes

The most powerful IS350 will now come standard with the F Sport package, and the base IS300 will not have it available for 2021.

The base rear wheel drive IS300 will now start at $40,025 which is a $440 increase. This model comes with a turbocharged 4-cylinder that produces 241 horsepower. All wheel drive is a $2000 option and offers a more powerful engine - a 260 horsepower 3.5 L V6. The top-trim IS350 model is standard with a tuned version of that same 3.5 L V6, and is brought up to 311 horsepower. Also included is the upgrades that come from the F Sport package (Which is now standard on IS350 models). The IS350 begins $2475 less than the previous IS350 F Sport, and now starts at $43,925.

Similar to the IS300, all wheel drive is a $2000 option for the IS350. You thought it couldn't get more complex? Wrong! Rear wheel drive IS300 and IS350 models share the same 8-speed automatic transmission, but all wheel drive ones are connected to a 6-speed automatic.

If you can figure out all this nonsense, head to your local Lexus dealership this month and pickup your own 2021 IS sedan. Or don't and get a 10 year old one for $7,000 - they look pretty much the same.
