Lexus's GT car, the LC500, is adding a limited-edition trim level for 2021. Called the Inspiration Series, it's restricted to just 100 units, and comes with numerous performance upgrades among a few styling tweaks. Starting with the exterior, it's available in one color, Obsidian, and boasts a carbon-fiber reinforced roof and rear spoiler, the latter of which is inspired by air race pilot Yoshihide Muroya, according to Lexus.
In terms of performance, the LC500 Inspiration Series utilizes the same 471 horsepower V8 engine, but gains a limited-slip Torsen differential and suspension tweaks that would normally be found on a sport package equipped LC500. The Inspiration Series rides on 21-inch black forged-alloy wheels and comes standard with an abundance of driver assistance features.
Inside the LC500 Inspiration Series, a few additions can be found. Located on the center console is a serialized badge, and adorning the cabin is black Alcantara trim. A carbon-fiber scuff plate, located on the door, has also been added, and Saddle Tan accents are pretty much everywhere. Turn on the car and you're greeted with the sound of its Active Exhaust, but, if you engage the radio, you'll be hit by high quality sound from its Mark Levinson audio system with 13 speakers.
The 2021 Lexus LC500 Inspiration Series will arrive at dealerships later this winter.
