Three years ago the Nissan Altima was completely redesigned. Since then, almost nothing has changed, and this continues for 2021. The base price remains at $25,225, meaning the only real changes relate to trim levels and engine options.
Trims and Pricing
For the 2021 model year, the SR model has been moved above the SV one, making the order S, SV, SR, SL, and Platinum. The Altima's base price remains the same, and starts at $25,225 for the S model. SV models are $26,325 ($27,725 for AWD variants), the SR is $27,125 ($28,525 with AWD), the SL is $30,915 ($32,315 including AWD), and Platinum models are $35,025.
The base S model has front wheel drive and is powered by a 2.5 L I-4 that puts out a measly 188 horsepower and a CVT. Available with the S is a new driver assistance package that includes blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear automated emergency braking, and rear sonar. SV, SR, and SL models are also fitted with the 2.5 L I-4, but can be had in front or all wheel drive. Want more horsepower? The SR is your only option and comes with a 236 horsepower 2.0 L variable-compression turbocharged engine.
