2021 Shelby GT Mustang is a performance bargain
And it's orange
You can't really beat the Ford Mustang in terms of bang for your buck. Even the most basic model still packs enough horsepower and character to have some fun without breaking the bank. In fact, Shelby has just launched the 2021 Mustang GT, reasonably priced at $62,310.
Based on the equivalent Ford Mustang GT, the 2021 Shelby Mustang GT is powered by a 5.0-liter N/A V8, sending 480 hp to the rear wheels courtesy of a 6-speed manual transmission. Shelby also said you can add the Ford Performance Supercharger (optional extra) to bring the power output to 700 hp when using 93-octane fuel.
Cosmetically, apart from the sizeable high-performance Brembo brakes with six-piston (front) and four-piston calipers and the 20-inch wheels, the Shelby GT is wider than the 'standard' Mustang, with new side rockers, a new front grille and a new rear spoiler and 'Shelby' badging everywhere including the floor mats and the headrests. Speaking of which, the cabin is refined and sporty, with seats upholstered in black leather and Alcantara with orange inserts and contrast stitching, and there's a little plaque with the car's 'CSM', a unique number attributed to each Shelby to confirm the authenticity of the modifications.
If you own an M.Y. 2018 Mustang GT and you don't wanna get the new one but still want these upgrades, you'll be happy to know that these modifications are available as a package, priced at $24,995.
